Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer – “Don’t Look Back in Anger”

Noel Gallagher Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer Dont Look Back in Anger

While going through some Oasis videos on YouTube the other day, I discovered this intimate version of “Don’t Look Back in Anger” performed by Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer, featuring Terry Kirkbride on percussion.  The recording comes from a Japanese broadcast that was televised in 2007 while Noel and Gem were touring together.

Currently, Noel Gallagher is touring with his latest band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, where Gem Archer is currently in the band Beady Eye, which consists of former Oasis bandmates Liam Gallagher and Andy Bell with Chris Sharrock on drums.

For those of you that dig Tron, great electronic music, dance, synchonrization, and neat lights: this video is for you!  The Wrecking Crew Orchestra put together this awesome dance sequence inspired from the movie Tron: Legacy. I’d say about 2:50 into the video is my favorite part. The tracklist of songs included in the dance are below.

Tracklist:

Daft Punk – “Arena”
Justice – “Waters Of Nazareth (Erol Alkan’s Re-Edit)”
Crookers – “Mad Kidz”
David Guetta – “Paris”
Flux Pavilion – “Bass Cannon”
Flux Pavilion – “Lines In Wax (feat. Foreign Beggars)”

PSA: Brett Out for Surgery April 11th

Hello Everyone,

For the time being, I will not be writing music reviews on the site until after my surgery on April 11th.  This does not mean that I won’t be writing articles and publishing on the site. It just means that because of surgery preparation, appointments, etc. I won’t be able to give the dedicated time I typically reserve for album and other music reviews.

This does mean that Rob, Reed or other authors will not be contributing reviews during this time period.

Individual tracks and features, though, will carry on as usual, but any review requests I receive will have to be delayed for the time being.  About a week after surgery, I should be able to write again.

Thanks for your understanding,

Brett
